Trim the frying steak of any excess fat and place it in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours in order to firm up. Remove the steak from the freezer and thinly slice the meat with the grain, into long strips.
Place the strips of meat along with all of the remaining ingredients into a large bowl. Stir to evenly distribute all of the ingredients. Place the bowl into the fridge for 3 to 6 hours.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 to 2 pounds frying steak
2/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
2/3 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon chilli flakes
Drain and place in dehydrator for about 5 hours at 70'C. Beef Jerky is ready when it is dry but still flexible. If you do not have a dehydrator use the oven at the lowest possible setting with the door slightly open until dry but still flexible. Place in an air tight container and they will last for months if not years.

All the fire lighting equipment you will ever need.
Cotton balls [make sure they are flammable ones] are a great addition to your survival kit. When dipped in Vaseline, they make a great fire starter that will burn long enough to get even the most stubborn fire going. In fact, a Vaseline dipped cotton ball will burn for over 5 minutes, which is more than enough time to start a fire even in a wet environment. Very light weight and effective addition to your Bug Out Bag or keep in the boot of your car for any emergency.
Ps leave Buddha alone he's not part of the deal.xx

Hazelnuts Are Go
Rooting about in the bushes today for these little chaps...Hazelnuts and contrary to popular belief they don't fully mature on the trees in the UK.....So if they are a descent size [an inch or so] they should be picked now....They taste great as they are and once shelled are an ideal addition to salads, casseroles, soups etc....I will post a pick of my ill gotten gains later..xx
